Nestled along the pristine shores of Florida’s Emerald Coast lies a hidden gem waiting to be discovered by art enthusiasts and travelers alike-Alys Beach. It has striking architecture and white sand beaches. It also serves as the perfect backdrop for one of the most unique art events in the Sunshine State – Digital Graffiti.
If you don’t already know about Alys Beach, it’s essentially 30A’s Santorini. All gorgeous white architecture and quaint coffee shops with restaurants alike. Alys Beach has a strict photography policy that only allows homeowners and renters to photograph in the area. But, they have a handful of events each year open to the public. Digital Graffiti is one of the absolute best events of the year, you don’t want to miss it.
Personally, I think the full ticket with dinner and drinks included is completely worth it. You get to sample food items from vendors all over the 30A highway. Plus, you don’t have to worry about crowded restaurants and hustling over to the event. If you choose not to do this day, they have a day that’s just walkable and drinks are available for purchase throughout the event.
Digital Graffiti celebrates art in its most innovative and captivating form. Artists from around the world converge on Alys Beach to project their digital artwork onto the town’s iconic white walls, turning them into canvases for expression. As a photographer in Florida, this isn’t the type of art or work that I do. But, I left feeling so inspired by all of the artists we were able to meet with while there.
