There’s something magical about photographing a family vacation, especially when it includes three generations all in one place, especially Rosemary Beach. The Daniels Family recently booked a sunset session with me during their stay in Rosemary Beach, and it was everything a photographer dreams of. The Daniels were staying in a beautiful Rosemary Beach property just steps away from the Gulf. One of the best things about staying in this area is how easily everything falls into place. The beach is never far, and the architecture of the homes makes every corner a picture-perfect backdrop. Add in the soft golden light that this coast is known for at sunset, and you’ve got the recipe for unforgettable portraits.

With grandparents, siblings, spouses, and now their first grandchild all together, this shoot was a celebration of legacy. Everyone was clearly soaking in the moment, grateful to be present. The grandparents beamed with pride as they held their grandbaby, while the siblings joked and connected in between shots. And speaking of the baby—what a trooper! This little one held up like a champ, smiling on cue, clapping his hands, and charming everyone. Even though he had just recently learned to walk, we got a few great shots of him striding in the sand between his Mom and Dad.

Something Special about Rosemary Beach

Beyond the beautiful beaches, Rosemary Beach offers a ton of perks that make it an ideal family vacation spot. After your session, you can walk over to get ice cream in the town square. It’s a picturesque area full of boutique shops, casual cafés, and fine dining. It’s not unusual to find live music or a farmers market happening nearby, which only adds to the charm. The convenience of being able to walk everywhere means families like the Daniels can focus on spending time together, not time in the car or sitting in traffic in the summer.
