When Fete and Flora reached out to me about a wedding at Pier Suites on Pensacola Beach, I was excited to see what they had planned. Tuesday weddings aren’t typical for me. But it can be incredibly beneficial to get married on a week day. There’s less going on with traffic, locations are easier to secure for lodging, and entertainment, and it just feels more laid back going into a weekend after a wedding.

Jessica and Coe did what I think every couple wishes they could do. They got engaged and got married in 3 months. How wonderful it is to skip over the typical year of planning and stress, hire professionals, and get married with your closest family and friends. Every part of the day was relaxed and we never felt pulled in a million directions. Each guest spent ample time with the bride and groom which made the day feel even more special.

Even More Perks

Another genius idea that I wish every bride and groom could incorporate- a rehearsal dinner portrait session! Right before the couple went to meet their guests at dinner the night before the wedding, we did a session on Pensacola Beach. The sunset was killer. We got some incredible shots and there was less pressure on wedding day for a portrait session after the ceremony. Thank goodness for this because the winds decided to pick up to about 20 MPH on the beach on the wedding day. If you’ve never taken photos on the beach, any time it gets over roughly 9 miles an hour, it makes things much more difficult. It also allowed for a more relaxed timeline on the wedding day. Because we had the entirety of an hour for portraits the night before, we knew we didn’t need so much extra time the day of which was amazing.

As usual, if you’re looking for an intimate wedding venue, you can’t go wrong with Pier Suite Events. It’s got an ocean front venue with a gorgeous backdrop of the entire beach. There is no other venue like it on Pensacola Beach. Check out the photos below and the vendors who contributed toward the gorgeous decor and small details that made this day beautiful.
