If you’re wanting to be included in your newborn’s photos, lifestyle family photos are perfect for you. There are a million reasons why I think lifestyle newborn photos are the best option for new families. But I may need an entire separate blog post for that. Being in your own home with all of your supplies, no pressure to leave the house, and feeling a little more relaxed just put everyone at ease.
I knew Hannah + Gaddiel would be amazing parents. You might remember their maternity session I did a few months back with their adorable pup, Kai. Well, Baby Ariyah is here! And.. she is absolutely perfect. We started off in Mom & Dads bedroom and Ariyah was just so snuggly for both Mom and Dad. She barely made a peep and slept almost the entire session. Trust me, this is not always the case and that is totally okay. We ended up getting some amazing shots of Mom, Dad and baby. Much credit due to the cutest outfits Hannah had set aside.
I’ll reiterate that what I love about lifestyle newborn photos is I get to capture you in your true element. Mom & Dad don’t need to stray far from the house for a studio, everything they need is right there. And for that reason, they just feel more comfortable. I get to see how the pets and siblings react. I can lend a helping hand if needed. Mom can step aside and get the baby to sleep by nursing if necessary. It’s just incredibly special. In a time when you’re sleep deprived, everything is so new, and life has caught you a little by surprise, trust me when I say you’ll want the newborn session in your home, I promise. <3
