Seeing Mothers, children, and their families through my camera brings me an untapped level of joy I never knew I could experience. While I’m taking Pensacola Beach family photos, I think to myself: how can I be so proud of a woman I barely know? Not just for being a Mother overall, but for showing up with your children who may or may not want to be there. And a husband, who may or may not want to be there, and making memories a priority. It’s no easy feat.
Every now and then, I have to allow myself to step back and take it all in. Wow, I love being a Pensacola Beach Family Photographer. The Cunningham Family showed up while on vacation, and their little boy was being incredibly shy. I’ve talked before about how it’s best to just back off, and let them come to you. It paid off tremendously. As you can see, he warmed up just fine and wanted to even take a few solo photos!
The thing is, when you already have children and you’re expecting a baby, it can feel like a huge task to get your photos done. It is most of the time. But when you start to think about how your dynamics as a family will change in the coming year it’s an easy decision. Get the photos done. This is the last time your youngest will be the youngest. This is the last time it will be just the few of you (or many). And in one year’s time, the photos will look different in many ways. Take advantage of the little extra amount of peace you have. Document your beautiful belly and how adored you are by your current children, and just have fun with it.
