I continue to be inspired by Maui Family Photos and photographers I see on Instagram and Pinterest. To think I would have that opportunity on my own put a lot of pressure on this session, but hey! That’s how I work best. In case you haven’t seen my other posts, Jeanne (the most amazing bride) asked me to photograph her Mom & Dad the night before her rehearsal dinner in Maui, Hawaii. Ivon and Sylvan met me at the Sheraton in Maui, HI where they were staying for their daughter’s destination wedding that week. Their daughter, Jeanne had gifted them a photo session to thank them for all they had done to support her throughout her life.

An Unbeatable Backdrop

After going over outfits and dates, I decided it would be best to stay at the hotel because there were so many gorgeous backdrops. I also wanted to see where Jeanne would be getting married in two days! (Another blog on this coming soon!) If you’re not sure where to stay in Hawaii, Lahaina boasts some of the most beautiful hotels and lush greenery you could ever imagine. Birds of paradise, tropical flowers in bloom, hibiscus everywhere, it really is something straight out of a magazine. Taking Maui Family Photos, Wedding Photos, or any other type of photo is such an honor and privilege.

Sentimental Moments

This was without a doubt one of the sweetest photo shoots I’ve ever done. If you think about it, many people have photos taken at their wedding. But the next professional photos they have taken are with their children. To have a session with just the couple, even after they have children was just really special. Brides and grooms, if you’re looking for a gift for Mom & Dad, think about the last time they have pictures taken together. It will not only be great for them, but for you to see and cherish for many years to come.
