Today, I have the absolute pleasure of sharing the photoshoot of a remarkable young woman, Leila Ammon in Downtown Pensacola. Not only am I a senior photographer, but I once had the honor of being Leila’s third-grade teacher. And let me tell you, watching her journey from then until now has been nothing short of magical!

Leila is the epitome of grace, resilience, and pure joy. From the moment she stepped into my classroom all those years ago, her spark was evident. Fast forward to today, and I find myself beaming with pride as she embarks on her next adventure—Middle Tennessee State University, here she comes to play softball as an incredible pitcher.

When Leila approached me about her Downtown Pensacola Senior Pictures, I couldn’t contain my excitement. Not only was I thrilled to capture her radiant spirit on camera, but I was also deeply moved by her desire to incorporate her future endeavors into the shoot. And so, we set off on a grand adventure, starting in the heart of Downtown Pensacola.

The Aragon District served as the perfect backdrop for capturing Leila’s vibrant personality. Amidst the charming streets and historic buildings, she effortlessly exuded confidence and poise in the most adorable dress. It truly didn’t feel like I was photographing sweet, little Leila who used to stand below my shoulders.

But our journey didn’t end there. Oh no, we had one more surprise up our sleeves—a trip to Pensacola Beach. Although it was a little overcast, we made it happen with a fluttering flag and an outfit to match. Leila radiated beauty as she stood against the backdrop of the endless ocean. This shoot just felt like magic.

As I looked through the lens, I couldn’t help but reflect on the incredible transformation I had witnessed in Leila. From a bright-eyed third-grader with dreams in her heart to a young woman ready to take on the world, her journey has been nothing short of extraordinary.

Leila, if you’re reading this, know that you are destined for greatness. Your kindness, determination, and unwavering spirit inspire everyone around you. Middle Tennessee State University is lucky to have you, and I have no doubt that you will continue to shine brightly wherever life takes you.
