Kamiren and Alex were looking for a Pensacola Maternity photographer and my dear friends sent them my way. After having to reschedule for weather and make things work for Kamiren’s nursing schedule, I FINALLY got to meet this beautiful couple. I knew upon arrival they were going to be so chill to work with, In addition, the photography Gods reached down and laid a thin veil of clouds over the sky for the majority of our session. The lighting started to hit just right as soon as their car pulled up. I knew these Fort Pickens Maternity Photos were going to be an absolute hit.

A Lovely Surprise

About halfway through our photoshoot, we decided to head over to the water to get some shots with the coastal background. As soon as we saw the water, I saw Alex eye-balling the horizon line and checking out the waves.

“Are you a surfer?” I asked.

“Eh, I mostly like to take pictures of the waves.” replied Alex.

“OMG… are you Alex Dantin??” -Me

“Yep, that’s me”- Alex

“Well.. now I’m nervous!!”

In case you didn’t know, Alex is the creator behind Salty Humans and produces some of the most incredible images of waves and surfers. He’s been published by multiple magazines and is an all around talented creative. Although he’s no Pensacola Maternity Photographer and has perfected his craft of the waves, I was still nervous!

We talked about how it’s a completely different medium, but I was still so excited to meet the face behind Salty Humans and his amazing wife.

I love how Kamiren and Alex interacted with one another and I know they will be amazing parents. Their outfits were on point and I so enjoyed our conversation. As for Kamiren, she serves as a labor and delivery nurse and we talked about whether or not this made her more or less nervous for her own delivery.
