When it comes to Kristin, I knew her Pensacola Bridal Portraits would be stunning. We were a little worried about booking anything outdoors due to weather or getting her dress dirty, so I recommended we do the shoot at a studio. This is an amazing option for anyone. The focus is solely on the client with no distractions, but there’s still so much room for creativity! If you’re looking for a studio in Pensacola, Studio by SCP (Sarah Coleman) is a great option.
In the example of Kristin, we could not figure out the bustle with her mom, her maid of honor on Facetime, and myself trying. We made it work for the photoshoot! But she realized she needed to reach out to her dress designer before wedding day. Otherwise, we may have wasted 30 minutes trying to figure it out the day of the wedding. She also realized one of her straps was a teensy little bit loose for her preference. It fit her like a glove, but after sitting, standing, and posing for several minutes, her straps felt a little different and she realized she may need it tightened.
We all know wedding day can be hectic. There are an abundance of things you can mark off your long checklist before wedding day in order to make the day less stressful. But, there aren’t many photos you can take before the actual wedding day. Bridal portraits are not something to be rushed. You’ve spent hours planning and preparing. You’ve spent your money booking the best hair and makeup artists to look your best. Your dress is altered to perfection. Your shoes add the perfect statement along with your jewelry. If you wait until wedding day for bridal portraits, you may not get every angle, close-up, and sentimental shot you’re dreaming of, simply because of time and wedding day factors. If it’s raining, if hair and makeup runs late, or anything else happens. You’ll know you have incredible bridal portraits already under your belt and won’t need to sweat it one bit if things don’t go according to plan.
No matter how relaxed you are or how much you plan in advance, your attention will be pulled in other directions on your wedding day and you may face time constraints. Outside of those, you may be limited in locations due to weather or other things outside of your control. When it comes to bridal portraits, all of the focus is on you. Your photographer will have plenty of time to tap into their creativity, You will have no distractions, time constraints or anything else. Plus, you’ll have a little extra time to get to know your photographer which is always a plus.
